Where I've Been

It’s been another three months since my last blog post, and I guess I’m here to fill you in on where I’ve been! I’m starting to feel somewhat fake when I call myself a blogger, because honestly, this blog has been one of the last things on my mind over the past couple of months.

I’ll be honest, I really did try my very best to fill the summer with a bunch of amazing blog posts (mostly related to internships, and college, and all of that fun stuff), but not a single post got written. I had a whole list of topics and ideas that I wanted to write about, but we’ll see if they ever end up happening. Maybe next summer?

But now that I finally have time to sit down and write, I’ll let you know that a LOT has happened since three months ago. I finished an internship, signed my full-time job offer, Coley and I put down a deposit on a puppy, and I voted in my very first presidential election!!!! So many grown-up things going on, it hardly feels like I’m in college.

It doesn’t help that I’m wrapping up my final year in a pandemic, and college doesn’t really feel like college anymore. It just feels like an endless Zoom meeting that refuses to end, a bunch of assignments to mindlessly get through just so I can get on with another one. But, I’m thankful to be here and I’m thankful for the professors who make it less frustrating and straining.

But other than that, my days outside of school things are filled with TV shows (currently obsessed with the Real Housewives of the Potomac), a lot of takeout, and guinea pig snuggles with Toaster. Sometimes it’s just nice not having to think about captions, and posting, and what I should be doing next.

Speaking of Instagram, I’ve taken a somewhat accidental hiatus for two months or so. It just got … boring. Not because of anything in particular, but I kind of stopped caring about the things on my feed (the algorithm didn’t help that much). I think I just needed a break. Subconsciously, I took a step back.

But now, I’m ready to be back! My accidental hiatus reset my creative juices, and I’m really excited about all of the fun things I have planned (for my social media AND blog!). I’ll talk to you all again soon, but in the meantime, stay safe, where your mask, and VOTE.

All the Best, Sabrina
