Best Instagram Spots in Charlotte

Summer is finally here, and it’s hard to not miss Charlotte, North Carolina. I loved the Queen City to bits when I lived there in college, and I spent so much of my time exploring the most beautiful places in the city. All of these beautiful places were also perfect for taking photos!

Because I want an excuse to go through some of my favorite photos, I’ve put together a little guide of the best Instagram worthy spots in Charlotte!

Confetti Hearts Wall in Southend

This one is easy, typical, and on probably EVERYONE’S list. But it’s on everyone’s list for a reason! This mural is so fun and cute for any type of photo. I love how summer-y it feels.

Jeni’s Ice Cream in Southend

Right around the corner from the Confetti Hearts Wall is the delicious Jeni’s Ice Cream, Not only is it a perfect spot for a refreshing treat, it also has the cutest outdoor area for you to take photos!

Dilworth

This one isn’t an exact spot, but more like a neighborhood of beautiful houses. This is genuinely my favorite neighborhood in Charlotte mostly because I love looking at houses. All the streets are lined with gorgeous flowering trees, and it feels very southern and fairytale-like.

The Duke Mansion

Okay, this is a go to because it’s BEAUTIFUL. The only downside of this place is that so many weddings happen here that sometimes you might get asked to leave HAHA. But you can always sneak around to the gardens out back and take some photos. It’s worth it, I promise.

UNC Charlotte

I loved the feeling of being back on a college campus, and UNC Charlotte is so cute and endearing, it’ll make you feel right at home. There are so many good secret hideaways; between the trees and a beautiful bell tower, you’ll find a good spot for photos anywhere!

Optimist Hall

I am literally so lucky that Optimist Hall opened right before I left, but I’m sad that I don’t get to enjoy any of the vendors that have moved in! With its light green walls, huge open spaces, beautiful patios, and SO many open windows, Optimist Hall is perfect for a full on photoshoot.

I know we’re in the middle of a pandemic right now, but it’s making me feel grateful that I have memories in these different places. I hope that once this all over, you’ll be able to have the chance to visit some of my favorite places in one of my favorite cities of all time.

All the Best, Sabrina
